Every tattoo carries a unique story with it, but sometimes, the paths we follow lead us in new directions. We spoke with Carla Blanco, a Catalan influencer with over 100,000 followers, who made the decision to remove a tattoo with MikiTattooKiller.
In this interview, Carla Blanco shares her experiences and reflections on the laser removal process carried out by MikiTattooKiller. From the reasons behind her choice to the unexpected surprises.
It was a tattoo located on my left shoulder. Its meaning was my father’s date of birth. I decided to remove it because, in my opinion, it had become too large for my liking in its current state, and I wasn’t fond of the location.”
I met Miki through social media. After seeing his work, his results, and the equipment he used, I considered him to be a good professional to go to.”
We’ve completed 8 sessions, and it’s completely removed now.
After the sessions, I experienced swelling, some bleeding points, and skin redness. It wasn’t unexpected, as Miki had informed me beforehand about the possible side effects.
After each session, Miki covered the tattoo with dermafilm and left it on for 3 days. After these 3 days, I removed the plastic and applied a special cream for laser-treated tattoos that Miki provided me with, applying a thin layer 2 or 3 times a day for 10 days.
Yes, as I mentioned earlier, it’s completely removed now. It’s true that the ease of removing a tattoo can vary depending on the amount of ink, size, and how long it has been there. Sometimes, it can be a bit frustrating to see that you’ve had several sessions and it’s still there. In my specific case, it was easy and quick because the lines were thin, and the tattoo had been there for a long time.
In my opinion, it hurts much more than the process of getting an original tattoo. I usually compare it to the sensation of stretching a rubber chicken band, using it like a slingshot and giving small taps on the arm constantly.
Patience and, above all, proper aftercare are crucial. The personal effort put into post-treatment care is essential to help the tattoo fade. As I mentioned before, some tattoos may be denser and more challenging to remove, but as long as you go to a good professional and take good care of it at home, the tattoo will eventually disappear.
I naturally have a fairly dark skin tone, so I tan even more during the summer. This is one of the reasons why we had to pause the treatment during the summer months because you can’t immediately expose the treated area to the sun. I hadn’t expected that.”
I haven’t considered the possibility of getting a cover-up; my goal was to completely remove the tattoo.
I would like to express my gratitude to Miki for his patience, dedication, and the consistency he shows with his clients. I’ve always received excellent treatment, and he has consistently addressed all my doubts and concerns.
